ABOUT SUNDRAN DANIEL KREBS

Sundran Daniel Krebs is a photographer and filmmaker whose work exists at the intersection of dream and reality, blurring the boundaries between the seen and the unseen. His journey into photography was anything but conventional—before turning his lens toward the ocean, he spent many years immersed in the world of contemporary art, exploring themes of perception, consciousness, and the unknown.
But it was his dreams that ultimately led him to the water. In 2008, dolphins appeared in his dreams; a year later, humpback whales followed. These visions became a calling—one that, years later, would shape his life entirely. Today, he lives on a remote island in the South Pacific with his wife and daughters, dedicating his time to capturing the breathtaking presence of the ocean’s most enigmatic inhabitants.
Each year, he spends months in the waters of French Polynesia, documenting his encounters with whales in images that transcend mere documentation. His photographs speak in a dreamlike language, revealing a reality far greater than what logic alone can comprehend. More than just a photographer, Krebs sees himself as a messenger, translating the silent wisdom of cetaceans into a visual form that resonates with the human soul.

Through his work, he invites us to step into a world of wonder—one where time dissolves, where presence is everything, and where the ocean itself seems to dream.
